Solid Rock Recruiting is proud to partner with a leading glass and glazing subcontractor specializing in Division 8 scopes throughout the Northeast. This company is known for its high-quality work on commercial storefronts, curtainwall systems, aluminum entrances, and window systems across a range of commercial, institutional, and multi-residential projects. As the company continues to grow, they are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team — either remotely or from their New Jersey office.

The Division 8 Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive bids for commercial glass and glazing projects, including storefronts, curtain wall, and aluminum windows. The ideal candidate is experienced in Division 8 estimating, technically proficient, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and clients.

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate takeoffs and estimates

• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for Division 8 scopes (glass, glazing, aluminum storefronts, curtainwall, entrances)

• Utilize estimating software (Bluebeam, Glazier Studio, Logikal, AutoCAD, and Procore) to prepare detailed proposals and bids

• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to gather pricing for materials and subcontracted scopes

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and drafters to ensure scope alignment and project viability

• Assist in value engineering efforts and recommend cost-saving alternatives where appropriate

• Maintain estimating database and track historical pricing for use in future bids

• Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition to operations team

• 3+ years of experience in Division 8 or commercial glass & glazing estimating

• Strong understanding of storefront, curtain wall, window, and entrance systems

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, Glazier Studio, and Logikal

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote or office setting

• Experience working with vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors in the glass and glazing industry
