Primary focus is the delivery of product to customers ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and professional interaction. The Delivery Driver (CDL Class A/B) is responsible for providing timely transportation of products from origin to destination as assigned, along with unloading and staging products at customer’s place of business. Expected to maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving, while providing excellent customer service and building strong customer relationships. Must have a CDL with either a Class A or B endorsement. Primary Responsibilities include understanding and following American Tire Distributors’ policies regarding returns, warranty items, and truck-tire casings; completing all paperwork including vehicle inspection forms, DOT logbooks, mileage reports, and sales/credit documents; problem resolution and communication with customers; interaction with sales and customer service staff; safe operation of vehicles according to federal laws; knowledge of assigned and backup routes; maintaining safe working practices per OSHA and company policy; product knowledge for correct unloading and pick-up; and accurate paperwork completion. Key partners include Delivery Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager, Delivery Staff, General Manager, Director of Operations, Sales Staff, and Customer Service Representatives. Requirements include minimum 4 years High School or GED, current Class A CDL and valid in-state license, 21 years or older, passing DOT physical and drug screen, physical ability to handle loading/unloading, and prior work experience under general supervision. Key competencies include basic reading and writing, math aptitude, knowledge of delivery areas, customer interaction skills, strategic thinking, problem solving, collaboration, effective communication, ethical conduct, and accountability. Physical demands include occasional lifting/moving up to 150 pounds and specific vision abilities. Work environment includes exposure to weather and moderate noise.
