The Weekend/Evening Operator ensures that members receive exceptional service from the front desk and assists with clean and maintenance of the gym facility. The operator has primary responsibility for supervising and operating the front desk area, janitorial, smoothie bar and general maintenance of the gym. This role is also responsible to resolve all membership issues, provide gym tours to prospects, process new enrollments, and following up with lead calls. The operator will enjoy full UFC GYM Membership and access to all Fitness and Martial Arts Classes.
The operator is responsible to open and close the gym on Saturdays and Sundays, and must provide evidence of reliable transportation. This is a part-time position.
The schedule is as follows:
(Schedule 1) Monday - Wednesday 3:00PM-10:00PM, Saturday 9:00AM - 4:00PM
or
(Schedule 2) Thursday 3:00PM-10:00PM; Friday 3:00PM-9:00PM, Saturday 9:00AM-4:00PM, Sunday 10:00AM-3:00PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Major emphasis is to support member retention by advocating for the best member experiences and operational processes in the club.
- Deliver strong operational performance including front desk, smoothie bar, retail area, maintenance and janitorial including locker rooms and gym floor.
- Maintain a clean and safe facility for all members and team members; checking that the facilities equipment is well-maintained.
- Ensure team members always executes the basics in friendliness, cleanliness, punctuality and in dress code.
- Resolve member concerns and complaints in a professional manner within UFC Gym corporate and club parameters.
- Monitor club facilities for appearance and equipment and resolve or escalate issues that detract from the member experience. Assist in providing direction to janitorial service.
- Instill a sense of common responsibility and teamwork across club functions to improve the member and team member experience.
- Ensure that retail is optimally merchandised and displayed and that merchandise transfers take place according to company policy and procedure.
- Follow-up with compliance checks by monitoring club systems and employee performance.
- Ensure that systems procedures are accurately followed: proper POS procedure, desk set up, File Organization, Member Check-in, Class Check-in, Telephone Inquiry, Guest Registration, cash handling and member ID Cards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Highly organized and willing to take leadership responsibilities regardless of situation.
- Must possess strong oral, presentation and written communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly motivated and proactive.
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50+ lbs.
