**Job Description: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team. The IMCU is a critical care step-down unit that provides exceptional, evidence-based care to adult patients requiring more specialized monitoring and treatment than a general medical-surgical unit can offer.

**Shift Details:**
- Type: 3x12 Hour Day Shift
- Schedule: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
- Start Date: September 16, 2025
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Location: Must be willing to travel from more than 75 miles from the facility. Local candidates are not accepted.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult, acute care patients in the IMCU.
- Monitor patients requiring continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry.
- Manage airway support and assist with non-invasive ventilation (BIPAP, CPAP) as needed.
- Administer IV medications, including titrated infusions, and manage central and peripheral lines.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to adapt care plans based on individual patient needs.
- Provide compassionate care while maintaining a vigilant approach to patient safety.

**Qualifications:**
- Valid New York State RN License required in hand for submission.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a similar critical care or intermediate care setting.
- Epic charting experience is a hard requirement.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Ability to handle critical situations and utilize Rapid Response Teams effectively.
