Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students with diverse educational needs in an elementary setting. This position focuses on providing tailored instruction and assistance to facilitate the learning of students with moderate to severe or extensive needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching credential with a focus on mod severe or extensive needs
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a K-2 setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement them effectively
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Location:
Santa Clara, CA

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 8-10 students with diverse needs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and families to support student goals
• Develop, implement, and modify IEPs in accordance with students' requirements
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting strategies to ensure successful learning outcomes
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
