We are currently looking for an individual to support our Customer Service Modernization program in a QA testing role. We are seeking an experienced QA specialist who can ensure the delivery of high-quality products and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development practices. This person will be expected to perform testing duties as well as some leadership responsibilities. The selected QA contractor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:
- Conducting thorough testing and validation of software applications to identify defects and potential issues.
- Collaborating with the development team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.
- Documenting test results, defects, and testing progress in a clear and concise manner.
- Assisting in the analysis and troubleshooting of defects to facilitate their resolution.
- Contributing to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies within the organization.
- Understands how to test web applications, Salesforce applications, services, and data integration between multiple systems
- Understand overall application flow to perform integration and end to end manual testing
- Create bug stories for issues found and work with developers on resolving them
- Define, create/locate, and manage test data to support test strategy
- Define acceptance criteria, specify Gherkin scripts, and execute tests
- Lead and run meetings
- Experience in developing and executing test cases in gherkin syntax
- Experience in testing Enterprise scale web applications
- Experience using SQL to locate test data
- Possesses an agile mindset with proven experience working in agile scrum teams
- A minimum of three years demonstrated informal leadership experience; preferably in a quality assurance role
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work and communicate with a variety of personalities and across locations
- Strong management and organization skills
- Proven ability to research, analyze, and resolve problem situations using strong judgement and high level decision making skills
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently and oversee work of others
- Experience in ADO preferred
- Experience in Kafka and/or MuleSoft preferred
- Business understanding of Life Insurance and/or Annuities preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a business or information technology related major preferred
