Job Description - Serve as the main point of contact between architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, internal staff, and the owner's representatives to resolve issues with plans and specifications.
- Review and make decisions on contract drawings and subcontractor details, ensuring they align with the original estimate.
- Manage the overall project budget.
- Handle submittals and shop drawings, making sure they meet contract requirements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Manage change orders, including reviewing changes to the work, analyzing impacts, getting estimates from subcontractors, securing approvals from the architect and owner, and resolving any disputes.
- Oversee the project close-out process, including preparing final documentation like RFIs, warranties, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists to ensure everything meets contract standards.
- Supervise junior staff, including Assistant Engineers, Plan Clerks, and Interns, and provide input on their performance.
- Write Scope of Work documents for different trades.
- Create and maintain reports on labor, safety, quality control, general conditions, and change orders.
- Lead and schedule meetings for subcontractor coordination, preconstruction planning, and submittal reviews.

The Successful Applicant - Bachlors Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 year experience
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
