Palmetto State Bank is looking for a Mortgage Loan Originator with experience in relationship management to assist clients and provide excellent support throughout the mortgage process. Our ideal MLO keeps up with mortgage loan trends and developments and is well connected to realtors, builders, advisors and other financial institutions. You will be a great fit if you can swiftly identify customer needs, meet loan production goals, and work to ensure customer satisfaction. "This is not a remote position".
Mortgage Loan Originator Duties and Responsibilities
* Create effective mortgage production plan that will generate referrals through external contacts
* Meet with clients to advise and guide them throughout the entire loan process
* Analyze financial information from all relevant parties
* Assist with processing the loan and preparation of compliance disclosures
* Maintain good relationships with clients by keeping them informed
* Interact with realtors, appraisers, sales agents, and attorneys as needed
* Responsible for compliance of mortgage loans
Mortgage Loan Originator Requirements and Qualifications
* Track record of successfully originating various kinds of mortgage loans including Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA
* Working knowledge of all regulatory requirements
* Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and sales skills
* Able to maintain compliance with financial and lending practices
* Strong analytical skill and attention to detail
* SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant
* Knowledge of loan origination software (Encompass)
