University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks a part-time Marketing Assistant/Specialist in the Office of Marketing. Part-time, freelance position. Must be able to work remotely up to 19 hours per week and on occasion at UMGC’s headquarters in Adelphi, MD. Specific responsibilities include: Assists in the execution of digital and traditional marketing materials as assigned, ensuring assets are accurate and on brand. Supports the development and coordination of organic social media content, including ideation and creation. Creates and maintains internal and external stakeholder reports, presentations, archives, audits, and performs other administrative duties as directed. Other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field. Relevant marketing experience is a plus, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred: Advertising/Marketing Agency experience preferred. Experience in Canva is required. Experience with Workfront and Sprout Social is a plus.
