Job Type Job Type Full-time Campus Unionized Position Code UA Job Description This position plays a vital role in the Falk College of Sport’s success by building organizational partnerships that create experiential learning opportunities for students, particularly those completing Sport Management Capstones. The Industry Relations and Career Services Manager will develop new relationships and nurture existing partnerships with organizations across the college’s disciplines to expand experiential learning experiences. The role also encompasses comprehensive career services programming for undergraduate students, focusing on capstone preparation and job readiness skills. Additional responsibilities include overseeing select sport-related immersion trips, managing various experiential learning initiatives, and leading the experience credit course. This position serves as a bridge between academic learning and professional practice, ensuring students gain the real-world experience needed to launch successful careers in sport and human performance industries. This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU , Local 200United. Education and Experience Master’s degree or equivalent education and sport industry experience is required. Candidates should have five or more years of sport industry experience and have developed industry connections. Skills and Knowledge Sport industry knowledge and established professional contacts associated with sports are critical. The successful candidate will have the ability to network and build relationships through traditional and digital means. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal communication skills, competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, LinkedIn), analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, including faculty, administrators, and industry practitioners. Prior experience working with college students is desired but not required. Responsibilities Build and sustain partnerships with organizations to create internship and experiential learning opportunities for students. Maintain ongoing engagement with industry partners through consistent communication with site supervisors. Coordinate and manage internship field placement processes and support the delivery of career services and professional development programming. Oversee the one credit experiential learning course and deliver the Falk College of Sport professional development seminar course. Facilitate campus visits from potential capstone sites and employers. Develop communication pathways to announce internship opportunities. Oversee immersion trips and experiential learning experiences.
