What you will be doing

We are seeking a motivated, well-organized, proactive, strategic, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Electric Vehicle Service Technical Trainer based in Phoenix, AZ . In this role, your job duties include preparing and delivering technical training, evaluate and report on student progress and success to leaders. Maintains subject matter expertise with industry knowledge and participates in curriculum design to deliver the best training possible.

  • Develop training requirements and curriculum that support every Service team member’s technical knowledge development.
  • Serve, coach, educate, and mentor Service Team Foreperson to enhance core capabilities and ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with Service leadership to identify training and development needs.
  • Develop learning solutions in close consultation with colleagues from ZEEKR Tech based in Sweden.
  • Provide ongoing training and development support to ensure a problem-solving mindset is applied and effectively utilized across Service.
  • Provide fault tracing training on electric vehicles equipped with complex automotive/electromechanical systems (powertrain, passive restraint system, steering/suspension/brakes, thermal management).
  • Provide specific & general training on high voltage DC systems.
  • Develop and deliver technical training solutions equipping Service employees to perform roles safely and efficiently in the workshop on our electric vehicle.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of diagnostics, repair methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance, collision and repair of electric vehicles.
  • Manage the operations of ZEEKR’s technical training center in Chandler, AZ including, but not limited to training schedule, inventory maintenance, facilities management, daily operations, etc.

What Skills & Experiences You Will Need

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Certificate program in Automotive Technology, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability to teach, coach and public speak.
  • Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrives working independently and able to contribute strongly as a member of a high performing team.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and serve as a partner/consultant to Service leadership and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex problem-solving technical activities and initiatives.
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated confidence and professionalism in public speaking.
  • Patience to teach, coach and train one on one.
  • Tech savvy – able to expertly use a full suite of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical demands of working under a vehicle and in an automotive Service workshop environment
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Experienced technician and/or technical training facilitator preferred.
  • Strong automotive system repair knowledge and training experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Previous experience working on electric vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASE Master Certification
  • HV battery training and certification
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Based in Phoenix, Arizona
