NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service. DOF’s Equal Employment Opportunity Office is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an EEO Investigator. The individual will report directly to the EEO Officer. Under limited supervision, duties and responsibilities will include the following: Conduct interviews with complainants, respondents and witnesses. Draft and investigate complaints of alleged discrimination, based on one of the protected classes. Review EEO related documents and data. Record all investigative and case related information. Complete summary of investigative reports and recommend complaint resolutions. Receive and process reasonable accommodation requests related to religion, disability status, or for mediation. Facilitate EEO and EEO related training, to all members of the agency workforce. Additional Information In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. Labor Relations Analyst - 13368 Minimum Qualifications A master\\'s degree from an accredited college in business or public administration, economics, labor or industrial relations, statistics, operations research or a closely related field; or A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in labor research and analysis, employee benefit design and evaluation, compensation analysis, labor economics, economic planning, or a related area; or Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. However, all candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college. Special Note To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one year of additional professional experience as described above. Preferred Skills Knowledge of city, state, and federal Human Rights Laws, and EEO policies and procedures. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Detail-oriented, accurate, and possess good interpretive skills. Good verbal skills, and the ability to effectively present to an intended audience.
