Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support elementary school students in Olympia, WA. This contract position will extend through the current school year, providing essential therapeutic services within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of elementary-aged students.
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist with documentation and progress monitoring to ensure compliance with educational and therapeutic goals.
• Engage students through age-appropriate therapeutic activities that enhance their development and academic participation.
• Communicate effectively with families and school personnel regarding student progress and therapy goals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and educational regulations.
• Commitment to supporting students functional development in an academic environment.
