Job DescriptionA leading distributor of pipeline products and services is seeking a Combo Welder to perform high-quality welds on pipeline components and assemblies. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with experience in welding techniques and equipment maintenance. Working in a hands-on environment, the successful candidate will contribute to operational efficiency by performing quality welds, following technical specifications, and ensuring safety compliance while maintaining equipment and supporting team productivity. Salary + Additional Benefits: Base pay: $29-32/Hour Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Location: Houston, TX 77073 Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings. Set amperage, voltage, slope and pulse. Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Examine weld. Make repairs. Position and clamp workpieces. Select torch, torch tip, filler and/or flux. Tack assemblies together. Chip, grind, or brush off excess weld, slag, and spatter. Clean or de-grease parts. Perform routine maintenance on all equipment used in welding. Move parts in and move finished products out of welding area with a crane. Rig and hoist valve.
