Position Details:

• $316 Daily Minimum (component pay); 10-12 hour shifts on average
• Work 4-5 days per week based on business needs - No Sundays! split days off
• Dispatch between 12AM - 5AM based on assigned route

Position Purpose:
Food and food service delivery drivers are crucial to the nation's food supply chain. Our drivers ensure that products are delivered on time and in good condition, while building lasting relationships with our customers.

As a driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor trailer or straight truck for delivering and unloading food and related products. Your work will be conducted within intrastate and interstate local routes, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight deliveries, all while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly.

• Collaborate effectively with the team and perform any assigned duty to serve the company best.

• Conduct necessary safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations, ensuring they meet company safety standards.

• Report all safety issues and required repairs.

• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

• Promptly report any safety hazards and inspect freight for proper loading and security.

• Perform count checks and verify customer invoices for loaded products.

• Accurately complete all required paperwork associated with freight.

• Drive to and deliver customer orders per the predetermined delivery schedule.

• Unload products, transport items to designated storage areas, and complete damage control checks.

• Verify delivery with customers and secure signatures where required.

• Manage customer returns and ensure everything is secured at the end of your shift.

• Keep the tractor, trailer, and loading areas clean and organized as part of general housekeeping duties.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass a road test and maintain a valid current DOT Health Card.
• Capable of manually lifting and using equipment to move freight cases from 10-90 pounds.
